Diego Ferrero, MA, CCC | Clinical Counsellor & Clinical Supervisor | Bilingual (English/Spanish) | Anxiety, Trauma, Addiction & Gender Identity — North Vancouver and virtual counselling
Diego Ferrero is a bilingual Clinical Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor at Bach Counselling Group, with more than two decades of clinical practice across Mexico and Canada. He holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Anahuac University, Mexico City, and has been a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
Diego began his clinical career in Mexico in 2002, working across community mental health, child and youth settings, and private practice before relocating to Canada. That cross-cultural foundation — built across two countries, two healthcare systems, and a wide range of clinical environments — is what allows him to work with the cultural fluency and clinical range that his clients bring to the room.
Since receiving his CCC designation, Diego has worked as a Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician with Vancouver Coastal Health. He holds certification in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, reflecting his capacity to work effectively in high-acuity and crisis contexts.
Diego’s DBT training is among the most comprehensive in the practice. Beginning in 2019, he completed a series of advanced training in DBT including facilitating adolescent skills groups. He also holds a Diploma in Brief Therapy from the University of Salamanca in association with Anahuac University, and certification in Recognizing and Responding to Suicide Risk (RRSR) through the American Association of Suicidology.
Diego holds a Certificate in Clinical Supervision and serves as one of BCG’s senior clinical supervisors. His approach integrates Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Brief Therapy within a trauma-informed, multicultural framework. He is also fluent in Spanish, reflecting a broader linguistic and cultural range that informs his work with diverse client populations.
Diego sees clients at BCG’s North Vancouver office and virtual counselling throughout BC. Sessions are available in English and Spanish.
