Sasha Astudillo
Intern Counsellor
Language: English & Conversational Tagalog
Sasha provides compassionate, evidence-informed counselling to youth and adults seeking meaningful change and support through life’s challenges. With extensive experience working with individuals with physical disabilities and neurodivergent clients—including those with ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities—Sasha leads with a strengths-based approach and deep respect for each person’s lived experience.
She primarily supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, school or workplace stress, life transitions, and immigration or acculturation challenges. Integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness practices, and a trauma-informed lens, Sasha creates a warm, steady environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to build self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful emotional and behavioural change.
Sasha’s background spans the K–12 and post-secondary systems, where she provided accessibility support, behavioural intervention, and student assistance. Her experience includes assessing barriers to learning, advocating within complex systems, developing accommodations, and collaborating with students, parents, and professionals. These roles allow her to bring practical, informed, and collaborative guidance to clients navigating systems that may not always feel accessible or equitable.
With her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, over six years of experience working with educational systems, special needs and learning differences, and autism education, Sasha is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She’s pleased to be completing her graduate internship with Bach Counselling Group.
Sasha is welcoming new clients and is a strong fit for individuals seeking a supportive, skills based, empathetic, and collaborative counsellor.
