Aaron Henry is currently completing his Master’s in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia. He also holds both a Master’s and PhD from the University of Oxford and the University of Toronto. With a background in philosophy and cognitive science, specializing in attention and motivation, Aaron works with youth and adults facing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, perfectionism, low self-esteem, disordered eating, ADHD, relationship issues, life transitions, and existential concerns related to meaning, belonging, and identity.
Aaron integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness, all through a client-centered, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive lens. He is deeply committed to creating a collaborative and nonjudgmental space for individuals from all backgrounds. Aaron also brings experience in caregiving for individuals with disabilities, including brain injuries, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and bipolar disorder.
At the core of Aaron’s therapeutic approach is working with the parts of ourselves that we might perceive as obstacles. By fostering self-compassion and integration, he helps clients achieve greater clarity, internal harmony, and emotional connectedness with others.
Aaron is excited to be completing his graduate internship with Bach Counselling!
